Description
An easy to use coccidiostat for addition to whole milk or calf milk replacer. Most calf feeds would contain a coccidiostat including either lasalocid (Bovatec®) or monensin (e.g. Rumensin™). However, the levels of coccidiostat included in calf feeds is normally set at an inclusion rate that would prevent coccidiosis when the calves are consuming 1kg/calf/day. As Coccidiosis can occur in calves from 3 weeks (young suckling calves) up to 12 months of age it’s important that a coccidiostat is included in whole milk or calf milk replacer during this period prior to weaning.

Active Ingredients
Coccistop® Premix contains 100mg decoquinate / kg. Decoquinate is a 4-hydroxyquinolone coccidiostat that inhibits electron transport in protozoal mitochondria and interferes with sporozoite development.

Directions For Use
Mix into milk or feed to provide 10mg Coccistop® per kg liveweight per calf per day (see table below). 10mg of Coccistop® will provide 1mg of decoquinate.
The above treatment rate may be halved for prevention only.
Feed immediately from day one. Feed continuously for a minimum of 28 days.
Withholding Period
Meat: Nil.
Milk: Milk intended for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 35 days following the last treatment.
NOT TO BE FED TO BOBBY CALVES.
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the food notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds
Cautions
By law the user must take due care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label. If symptoms persist, veterinary advice should be sought.
Storage
Reseal packaging after use. Keep in a safe place away from foodstuffs. Store in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes, inhalation and ingestion. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Keep out of reach of children.
