Royal Canin Veterinary Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is formulated for the nutritional management of cats with lower urinary tract disease who are prone to being overweight. Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie diet helps to prevent urinary crystals from forming, and dissolves struvites (urinary stones) due to its acidifying properties and low magnesium levels. This food has a low RSS (Relative Supersaturation) which means it helps reduce the risk of urinary crystal formation by promoting urine that is less concentrated and less favourable for crystals to form. Feeding Instructions:
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use. Feed Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The cat should be regularly re-evaluated by the veterinarian to assess the relevance of lifelong recommendation. In older cats, renal function should be checked before recommendation – Water should be available at all times.
