Farewell 2022, Welcome 2023

Wow, 2022 has been and gone already, and what another whirlwind year it was! Thank-you all so much for your continued support, we are so proud of our New Zealand run and owned little business and really appreciate each and every one of you!

Here’s some of our highlights from last year

• We welcomed Baby Max into the Vetpost Family (probably the biggest highlight I think)
• We welcomed Rose, Shania and Ella to the Vetpost team; all qualified and amazing veterinary nurses that work incredibly hard each day to get all your orders out
• Emma our wonderful Senior Business Coordinator has been promoted to our 2IC
• Greg (Rebecca’s Husband) has joined the team as the Business Development Manager, official treat maker and guard-dog
• We won the Tauranga Business People’s Choice awards thanks to you guys (Check out our team photo from the Awards Night!)
• We committed to becoming Certified Carbon Neutral by 2024

What are some things to expect from us in 2023

• Follow us on our sustainability journey as we move towards Carbon Neutral
• We have just launched a new Website platform, you won’t notice much difference at the moment but we will have some cool new features coming soon
• We are looking at opening new warehouses around New Zealand to help with even quicker shipping times
• We will continue to strive everyday to give you the best deals and the best service that we possibly can

Shipping and Pricing Updates

Whilst we try our best to keep prices as low as possible, over the last year the price increases from all our suppliers and courier companies have ramped up, and we will be changing a few things effective the end of January. Please note the following

• Our minimum order amount for free shipping will now be over $55 – please note that free shipping doesn’t include bulk items over 4kg or rural delivery
• Our standard shipping charge for orders under $55 will go up from $5 to $6.50
• Those of you who have been with us for awhile will remember we used to send all our small boxes inside of a black R3 trackpak. We have been trialing with NZ Post over the last 6 months to send these without the trackpak, unfortunately NZ Post have done an analysis and found that the way these are all handled just doesn’t financially work for them and we will need to go back to using the trackpaks at the end of this month. We do apologise for the extra packaging, it’s certainly not the direction we wanted to go, however the increase in price from NZ Post if we don’t use a trackpak is huge, and we don’t want to have to pass on that increase to our lovely customers.
• There will be price rises coming on the following products at end of this month
  -Bravecto 7%
  -Caninsulin 15%
  -Most Medication 3% – 15%
  -4Cyte 5% – 8%

We will do our best to communicate before any major price rises on the different product lines in our monthly newsletter to give you a chance to purchase before these changes are put in place
