About Us
Vet Post has been created not only to allow Pet Owners access to discounted medications, but also to provide a New Zealand database of articles and veterinary knowledge to help pet owners give the best care possible to their pets.
Meet our amazing team!
Dr Rebecca Walker
Veterinarian/Director
Rebecca is extremely passionate about being a veterinarian and has designed Vet Post so she can help more and more pets New Zealand wide. She has a wealth of knowledge from her 20 years practising as a veterinarian, working with a large variety of animals in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, everything from hamsters to camels!
Dr Rebecca has three gorgeous dogs Luca, Jersey and Murphy, and 4 very mischievous horses (Nullah, Pickles, Rascals and Jack). In her very occasional spare time she loves experiencing adventurous sports such as Paragliding, Snowboarding and everything in between.
Greg – Business Development Manager
Greg spends his time doing all the jobs no one else wants to do. Sitting in front of spreadsheets, negotiating with suppliers, and trying to find ways to make the business better for staff and customers.
He lives in Pyes Pa with Dr. Rebecca, Baby Max and all the furbabies.
In his spare time you’ll see him chowing down on a pie, building yet another “shelf” for the office, or just being a Dad
Emma – Operations and Marketing 2IC
Emma is a qualified veterinary nurse. Emma studied veterinary nursing as well as animal welfare, and worked in general veterinary practice before joining the Vet Post team. Emma has a passion for improving animal welfare.
Emma has a huntaway cross called Spud, and 2 senior cats, Oscar and Wembley. She spends her free time working on cars.
Rose – Veterinary Nurse
Rose is a vet nurse who has always loved animals and wanted to spend her time working alongside them.
After high school, she got a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
She’s worked in general practice vet clinics and referral vet clinics in Auckland before moving back to Tauranga to be near family, where she now works at Vet Post.
She has a scruffy little puppy called Penny and likes to spend her free time doing CrossFit.
Rose loves Pie Day Friday, and any other day that involves food
Shania – Veterinary Nurse
Shania is a qualified Veterinary Nurse, who completed her studies in 2021. She had a passion for caring for and learning about animals since she was a kid. She has worked in a number of Vet Clinics around the bay before joining our team. She has been with us for nearly a year now and she hasn’t looked back.
She has an English Staffy (Sage) and a ginger rescue cat (Reggie)
In her spare time, she enjoys wakeboarding, mx trail rides and spending time with friends and family.
Sonny – Veterinary Nurse
Sonny has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember, which naturally led her to vet nursing. She is passionate about animal welfare and advocacy.
She has a sweet little bitza named Peanut, who just turned 10 years old in 2023.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new hiking tracks, camping, and dabbling in art projects.
