Royal Canin Cardiac is a complete and balanced veterinary diet, scientifically formulated to support dogs with early-stage heart conditions, including cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, and hypertension. It contains targeted nutrients to help maintain cardiac function and overall health.

Updated Formulation (September 2023):
This diet now features a sodium content of 0.68 g/Mcal (previously 0.36 g/Mcal), based on new research supporting the benefits of a slightly higher sodium level in managing early cardiac disease. Please note: due to this change, this product is no longer recommended for late-stage heart disease where initial diuretics are no longer effective.

Composition:
Rice, dehydrated poultry protein, maize flour, animal fats, maize gluten, egg powder, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, fish oil, vegetable fibres, soya oil, yeast products, fructooligosaccharides, marigold extract (source of lutein).
Additives:
Vitamin A: 18,500 IU, Vitamin D3: 1,200 IU, Iron: 43 mg, Iodine: 4.3 mg, Copper: 13 mg, Manganese: 56 mg, Zinc: 137 mg, Selenium: 0.08 mg.
Sensory Additives: Tea extract (source of polyphenols): 1,250 mg.
Also contains: Preservatives and antioxidants.
