Directions for Use
General tapeworm control (dogs and cats):
- Treat whenever tapeworm segments are observed.
- Dogs and cats with fleas are at increased risk of Dipylidium caninum (flea tapeworm); ongoing flea control is important.
- Pets that hunt small prey may also be more susceptible to reinfestation.
- For routine worming programs, a broad-spectrum product such as Drontal or Milbemax is recommended.
- Always consult the product leaflet or seek veterinary advice to establish the best deworming schedule for your pet.
Sheep measles in dogs (Taenia ovis):
- Farm dogs should be treated monthly with Droncit to prevent the spread of sheep measles.
- For general health, every third month treatment with Droncit may be replaced with Drontal Allwormer for Dogs or Milbemax, which are also effective against Taenia ovis.
If you are giving this product alongside a flea oral treatment, we recommend spacing doses at least 48 hours apart. Please consult your veterinarian for advice specific to your pet.
