Royal Canin therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and strictly recommended to be used only under the advice of your veterinarian. We (Vet Post) and Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your veterinarian prior to and during feeding this product to your pet and that you take your pet to your vet regularly (every 6 months).
Royal Canin Diabetic is specifically formulated to help in the management of glucomodulation in diabetic dogs.

Product recommendation
Royal Canin® Diabetic is recommended for dogs newly diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, until clinical signs are controlled. After this, ongoing nutritional management should be guided by the dog’s body condition score.
- BCS 6 or less: continue with Diabetic.
- BCS 7, 8 or 9: transition to Satiety Weight Management.
Important note: This food may affect a dog’s sensitivity to insulin. Blood glucose and insulin response should be monitored when starting or changing this diet, so insulin dosage can be adjusted if required.
Diabetic patients should be regularly assessed for concurrent disease. Nutritional management should be reviewed if indicated.
Not recommended for: growth, gestation or lactation.
Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
Composition
Dehydrated poultry protein, barley, hydrolysed animal proteins, wheat gluten**, maize gluten, vegetable fibres, animal fats, beet pulp, manioc/tapioca, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, minerals and marigold meal.
L.I.P. protein: Low Indigestible Protein, selected for its very high digestibility.
