Cobalazorb

Description

Cobalazorb is a high concentration vitamin B12 (cobalamin), vitamin B9 (folate) and prebiotic powder in a capsule; proven to be as effective as injections for the treatment of hypocobalaminaemia.

Contents

•  Cyanocobalamin (PXN-B12). To correct hypocobalaminaemia.
•  Folic Acid. To correct hypofolataemia.
•  Prebiotics: FOS and Acacia Gum. A unique blend of prebiotics which feed good bacteria right along the GI tract.
• Flavouring: an artificial chicken flavouring ensures good palatability whilst removing the risk of triggering a food allergy. No animal derived ingredients are used.

Indications:

•  For the treatment of hypocobalaminaemia and/or hypofolataemia in animals with a range of pathologies including chronic GI disease, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, GI dysbiosis, chronic liver disease, renal disease, hyperthyroidism etc.

Directions:

• Dose according to weight, once daily:
• Can be given whole, or opened and added to food.
• Treat for a minimum of 12 weeks, and for as long as required.
• Not to be used during pregnancy or lactation.

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place (refrigeration is not necessary)
• 2 year shelf life from the date of manufacture.

Notes:

•  Recent studies have demonstrated that daily high dose oral cobalamin supplementation is as effective as injections at normalising serum cobalamin – in dogs and cats with chronic enteropathies, EPI, and genetic disorders of cobalamin uptake.
• The Cobalamin dosing regime is based on the above studies.
• Treatment may be required lifelong depending on the resolution of the
  underlying cause.
