Description
Dermcare Malaseb® Lite Medicated Shampoo is an antibacterial, antifungal, antibiofilm, cleansing and conditioning shampoo for dogs, cats and horses. It is formulated to gently cleanse and treat minor skin infections responsive to chlorhexidine and miconazole.
Active ingredients
2% chlorhexidine gluconate and 2% miconazole nitrate.
Directions for use
Wet the animal thoroughly with clean water. Apply shampoo at several points, focusing on problem areas first, and massage into the coat. A sponge assists with lathering and penetration into the coat.
Ensure shampoo is applied to areas that harbour causative organisms, such as under the tail and between the toes. Take care when applying around the face. Do not apply around the eyes.
Leave the shampoo in contact with the skin for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat twice weekly until symptoms abate, then weekly or as directed by your veterinarian.
Precautions
- For topical use only.
- Do not use around the eyes. If shampoo enters the animal’s eye, flush thoroughly with clean water. Seek veterinary advice if eye changes are observed.
- Do not leave animals unattended during the 10-minute contact time. Licking or inhaling shampoo foam may irritate the gastrointestinal or respiratory tracts.
- Not recommended for rabbits or species other than dogs, cats and horses.
- Wear rubber gloves when using. Avoid ingestion, inhalation, and contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands and exposed skin after use.
