Catit Pixi Fountain Filters consist of three components that purify your cat’s drinking water:

1. The cotton mesh, in the filter’s outer layer, removes hair, sediment, and debris, such as bits of food.
2. Active carbon helps remove odours and impurities.
3. Ion exchange resin softens tap water by filtering out excess calcium and magnesium. When present in large amounts, these minerals can pile up in your cat’s lower urinary tract and may lead to urinary tract disease.

The filter should be replaced every 30 days for best results.
