Bravecto contains fluralaner.
Indications: For the control of flea and tick infestations on cats for 3 months
- Treats and controls existing flea and tick infestations
- Sustained control of new flea and tick infestations
- Part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis
- Highly effective against fipronil resistant fleas
- For cats suffering from, or at risk from, mixed ecto- and endoparasitic infections
- Treatment of infections with intestinal roundworm (Toxocara cati, Toxacaris leonine; 4th stage larvae, immature adults and adults), lungworm (Aelurostrongylus obstrusus) and Capillaria spp.
- Treatment of Otodectes cynotis spp. mites
Dosage
Bravecto Plus for small cats is suitable for cats weighing 1.2-2.8kg.

For use in cats from 9 weeks of age.
For optimal control of tick and flea infestation, the Bravecto Plus * should be administered at 3 monthly intervals. Bravecto Plus* can be administered all year round.

Q: What is the difference between Bravecto and Bravecto Plus for cats?
The Standard Bravecto targets fleas and ticks only, Bravecto Plus also covers roundworm, hookworm, and ear mites.

Q: Is Bravecto Plus safe for my cat?
Yes – Bravecto Plus is approved for cats over 9 weeks old and weighing at least 1.2 kg. For cats with existing health issues or on other medications, consult your vet first.
Q: How do I apply Bravecto Plus?
Bravecto Plus is a spot-on liquid applied to the base of your cat’s neck (just above the shoulder blades). Apply directly to the skin, not the fur, and avoid touching the area until dry.
Q: How fast does Bravecto Plus work?
Fleas will start dying within 12 hours. Ticks and intestinal worms are targeted within 48 hours. Ear mites are typically resolved after one application.
Q: Can I wash or bathe my cat after using Bravecto Plus?
It’s recommended to wait 72 hours after application before bathing or shampooing your cat.
Q: Can Bravecto Plus be used on pregnant or lactating cats?
Safety has not yet been established for use during pregnancy or lactation
Q: Do I still need to use a wormer if I give Bravecto Plus?
Bravecto Plus treats roundworms and hookworms, but not tapeworms. If tapeworms are a concern (e.g. if your cat hunts), we recommend pairing with Droncit Tablets every 3-6 months.
Q: How often should I give Bravecto Plus to my cat?
Reapply every 3 months, depending on your cat’s risk factors and which parasites you’re targeting.
