This product spotlight is on EquiShure – a time released hind gut balancer for horses. Here we will look into what EquiShure does, why and how to use it, and what makes it special.  

EquiShure helps to promote normal digestive functions by helping aid the maintenance of an optimal hindgut environment, and is designed for horses who are suspected of suffering from or are at risk of developing hindgut acidosis. Acidosis is the change of the bacterial population in the hindgut which causes digestive disturbances and reduces digestive efficiency. 

Why use EquiShure?

• Supplies a time-released balancer to neutralize the acid and helps maintain a stable hindgut environment to encourage proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
• Encapsulation technology allows for targeted delivery of sodium bicarbonate which helps prevent the effects of blood tCO2 levels.
• Stabilises and maintains normal hindgut pH to reduce risk of acidosis and associated disorders
• May help improve digestive efficiency

Feeding recommendations

Feed 30-150g (1-5 scoops) daily according to the horses size and diet 

EquiShure comes in the pack sizes: 

• 1.25kg (20 day supply)
• 3.6kg (60 day supply)
• 7.2kg (120 day supply) 
• 18kg (300 day supply) 

Please note the above supply durations are calculated on a 60g/day dose. Your horse may require more or less per day depending on size and diet. 

When to use EquiShure

• Horses on moderate or high grain diets
• Grazing on lush pasture
• Horses with digestive upsets causing loose manure
• Horses prone to recurrent mild colic
• Picky eaters, inappetence, poor doers or prone to weight loss
• Unexplainable behaviour problems
• Under stress of training, travel or sales preparation
