Description
Dermcare Malaseb Medicated Shampoo is a topical antibacterial, antifungal and antipruritic shampoo for dogs and cats.
It is indicated for the treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis associated with infections by Staphylococcus pseudintermedius and Malassezia (Pityrosporum) pachydermatis, and as an aid in the treatment of dermatophyte infections caused by Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
Active Ingredients
20 g/L Chlorhexidine gluconate
20 g/L Miconazole nitrate
Directions for Use
Wet the animal thoroughly with clean water.
Apply shampoo at several points and massage into the coat.
Ensure application around lips, under the tail, and between the toes.
Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Repeat twice weekly until symptoms abate, then weekly or as directed by your veterinarian.
Guide amounts
30kg dog (medium coat): ~50mL
Adult cat: 7–10mL
When treating dermatophytosis (ringworm), all in-contact animals should be treated to limit spread and environmental contamination.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution around eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water.
Do not leave animals unattended during the 10-minute contact time.
Not recommended for use in species other than dogs and cats.
May cause irritation if swallowed, inhaled, or in contact with skin or eyes.
